Day 50!

Holy crap I can't believe it is Day 50!!! Craziness.

OK, so here's the deal. I might know how to lose weight and as you can see through previous posts I am pretty successful at doing it when I work hard and eat right, but...I have a tendency to "get happy" with the way I look and just stop working as hard. Usually this happens at the 3 week mark. It is amazing to me that I made it through 40-something days without quitting. Well the last week or so I have been feeling the slippery slope of "getting happy". The next thing you know you look in the mirror and all of your hard work has gone down the drain. I am not going to let it happen this time.

I got to a weight that I hadn't been at in years...I bought new jeans that looked parents were telling me I look too thin...When these types of things happen, your mind begins to think that you can pretty much eat whatever you want to and stay the same. Um, not true.

I am going to turn this slippery slope around for the first time in my life...

I worked a 12 hour shift today. The day went great as far as eating goes.

BF: HUGE glass of water, Cheerios (145), Snack: Zone bar (190), Lunch: grilled chicken (100), 1/2 grapefruit (60), Snack: sample of pasta the grocery store was cooking up (overestimate: 400...just to be sure, it had beef in it), Dinner: WW meal (280), lemonade (5), Snack: 1/2 of grapefruit (60)...1240.

  1. Good for you! I have done the same thing in the past. Not this time! Keep up the hard work!

  2. I completely understand what you mean! I was thinking that this morning.... I was looking in the mirror thinking "ya know.. I look pretty good.. I can chill with this whole diet thing" but reading this just reaffirmed my original goals! WE CAN DO THIS!! We're soooo close!

  3. You're half way there, Woohoo! Stay strong and keep working hard.

  4. I can totally relate. The praises everyone gives you gets to your mind. You think "wow, I must look really good"...then you start backsliding. I know first hand! I think from now on I will have to block the nice comments out of my mind so I don't get so lackadasical. Although, I love the compliments of losing weight. It makes you feel so good...

  5. Welcome to my world girls,or should I say our world. It happens to all of us.I know because I just went through it after day 30.That's why I am trying to look at this weight loss journey as a LIFE CHANGE!not a temporary fix.I want to keep the weight off forever.Take in the compliments and use them to work harder.Stay Strong Girls. If you have a bad day or week as I did, just get back on track it's never to late

  6. Thanks for all the support ladies!
